| Parish & Finance Councils PARISH COUNCIL The Parish Council is comprised of 12 members who each serve three-year terms. They are elected by registered members of St. Stephen's parish. The council serves in a consultative manner to the pastor in the guiding of the ministry and the focus of the parish. All council decisions are ratified by the pastor. Council members are encouraged to be involved in lay ministries and to be a liaison between the lay ministry committees and the council. FINANCE COUNCIL The Finance Council is comprised of at least three, and no more than seven, parish members. Nominees are selected by the Parish Council, then appointed by the pastor in consultation with the presidents of the parish and finance councils. Members serve a three-year term and meet quarterly. They develop the annual budget and review revenues and expenses. Meet the finance members. |
